Better late than never

The Girls won 3rd place!
This isn't all their team, girls had to leave for a choir concert!

So the season is almost over and I am just now posting. Sage made the 7Th grade A basketball team. She is a starter and much better than her mother ever thought about being. She LOVES it!! She is a real go getter. And I think the coaches like her because she takes directions well. We have been very proud of her. She does get yelled at A LOT from my father and me. As a matter of fact another players mother thinks she is abused because we yell at her so much.( And I am not kidding!! She hates us, It is rather funny!!) The mother yelled at us and told us we needed to read more articles ( whatever that means) and have positive reassurance for the girls. It even went around the school, that when she doesn't play well, I lock her in her room and make her cry. People are CRAZY!!!!! We get a good laugh at of the deal anyways. I want to tell her, you parent your child as you choice, and I will parent mine as I choice. We only yell at Sage and encourage the other girls. And you all know me, I can't keep my mouth shut. I just except more out of Sage! But needless to say, WE ARE VERY PROUD OF HER AND LOVE HER MORE THAN ANYTHING!!!!

I am going to try to get some video of her playing for her Aunt Lacy . She really want you to see her play. After about every game she ask, When will Aunt Lacy get to come watch me. Billie and I tell her she is CRAZY!! We can't even get her to come for a visit!!

6 years....

I put my Christmas tree up today. The same thing I was doing 6 years ago today. I find it so hard to believe it has already been 6 years. 6 years since my little girl went to be with her heavenly father. The last day I got to hold her little hand and listen to her sweet little sounds. I miss her so much. I miss the smell of her skin and curls in her hair. The way she would point her little finger to touch mine. I miss the constant sound of Blues Clues playing. I miss the red stain on my shirt from her Hawaiian punch she loved so much. I miss the way she would get so excited to see Sage and Jeff. Or when Billie would come over and talk like Blue to her and that sweet smile she would get on her sweet little face. The way she would let my mom know if she was taking Sage, she was taking her. They way she would reach for my dad glasses with that one little finger. The bouncy chair of hers. I miss watching her sleep. I miss so much about that little girl. My heart longs so much for my second daughter. Not a day goes by that I don't think of her. I always thought with time things would get easier, but they really haven't. I miss her as much today as the day I kissed her good bye. I know she is with Jesus, and she is well. And one day I will be with them. My heart is at peace. Peace that only he can give me! But I still miss my little girl!!

I thought this was in my past... guess not!

It just follows me. Yes, our house was rolled Halloween night by the group of boys Sage hangs with. It reminded me of my Jr. High Years. Our house in Woodward was ALWAYS rolled. I thought it was pretty funny, Jeff on the other hand did not. He had to clean it up. And all that know him. He couldn't leave any of it on the trees. I don't have pictures, but he had the ladder out getting every piece out. Only Jeff would take the time to do that.
The boys said our house wasn't very fun to do because the trees aren't big enough. I couldn't agree more. The girls are just waiting on the PERFECT night to get them back!!

How old is to old??

I do think Sage is getting a little to old to trick or treat, but they wanted to do it one more year. She went with all her friends all over the neighborhood. They all dressed up like little kids. We went with Blayre and she was a go getter! Greg Whitley would have been so proud! She wanted more and more candy. She was pretty funny. The weather was BEAUTIFUL and everyone had a goodnight. I enjoyed seeing everyone in their costumes. Everyone was sure CUTE!!

Homecoming

I know.... I haven't been a very good blogger lately. Sorry! I have been busy though. No excuse, I know! Everyone is busy. I guess I have just been lazy. Here is Sage and her friends on homecoming night. All the cheerleaders wore mums to school, so Sage HAD to have one. Katy is VERY good in football. Sage's best friends' ( Natalie, the one in the middle) dad is the offensive coach, so she has been blessed to get to go to every game. It isn't like the Boom, people wait in line for HOURS to buy tickets to sold out games. It is CRAZY!! The girls have a lot of fun!
I will be honest, I do cry sometimes when I look at Sage so grown up. Jeff makes fun of me. It is just hard to believe how grown up she is.

Go, Go, G O F I G H T Win!!!!!

Here it is the 1st football game. Sage did well and had a lot of fun cheering! They rotate cheering for the A, B, and C teams. This night was the B team. They lost, but that was OK. Here are some pictures of our 1st night. I will have more from later games.

Their jump are pretty funny. We hope over the course of the year they get better!!!!

Blayre HATES anything with a costume, so she was looking for the tiger all night to make sure she wasn't coming close to her.
